Court Testimony or Deposition as Expert for the Indianapolis Police Department
- Home Invasion Robbery February of 1996. (Testimony as expert on use of a trained police dog scenting or tracking evidence and suspects)
- Roddy v. City of Indianapolis (Testimony on dogs' drives and use of a police dog in the Case. Deposition copied and sent)
- On all law suits against the City of Indianapolis pertaining to Police Service Dogs I am responsible for documentation of all records and interaction with City Attorneys on all cases as the expert in Training and use of Police Dogs. On and annual basis, I normally have to send documentation or meet with City Attorneys approximately 3 or 4 times per year to prepare for the Case.
- ILEA Instructor since 1993. In this Capacity I instruct all basic recruits for ILEA, along with recruit Officers from the Indianapolis Police Department Academy. I instruct 2 hours of Usage of K9 annually to approximately 250 to 400 Officers.
- In March and April of 2006 I taught 2 hours of K9 Usage to the Spring In-Service of the Indianapolis Police Department to approximately 1100 Officers. About 48 total hours.
- I instruct all K9 Schools to Indianapolis Police Department K9 Officers and other agencies in initial schools for K9. I average 2 or 3 schools a year logging approximately 520 hours of initial school annually.
- I also log approximately 384 hours of monthly proficiency training annually to about 38 dogs. Over the last 10 years I have logged in excess of 37,000 hours of combined K9 training to over 120 dogs. This would include Patrol Dogs, Explosives Detection Dogs, Arson Dogs, and Narcotics Detection Dogs.
- I have written 4 articles for published K9 magazines to include DAD/DAC and American Working Dog, mostly in the early 90's. My most recent article was in 2001.
- Authored Current Indianapolis Police Department K9 Unit Standard Operating Procedures, K9 Unit Training Manual, and Unit General Order 23.12.
